After baking it in the oven for 250F, the finish on the paint was glossy and better than before baking.ġ) cleaning the calipers. Their website says that you should cure it in an oven at 250F for 30min for best results. The finish came out very nice and glossy and is solvent resistant. Brake calipers can get hotter than the engine, so the right paint is critical. This contamination can stick around long after the rotors looks like it is nice and shiny.ĭO use the right products. Paint contains components that can contaminate the brake pad and change the friction levels. Shiny abutment clips, shims and anti-rattle clips will add some extra bling.ĭON’T paint the areas of the rotor/disc that make contact with the pads.
